The new-look Wild Horizons Look Out Café on the Zimbabwe side of the Victoria Falls is set for re-launch on December 1. The reopening was previously set for September 1.
The café suffered extensive damage due to a fire and was forced to close in December 2018.
Victoria Falls-based tour operator, Andrew Kativhu, says tourists couldn't wait to have it back in business. “Most of our clients in Vic Falls were very fond of the place. Everyone loved dining there, including the locals. It has been one of the best places where one could dine and relax; the service was super,” he says. “Its location is stunning as it has a beautiful view of the gorge and is convenient for clients who do activities at the gorge.”
Batoka Safaris GM, Edmore Kasira, says: “The reopening of the café is important in that customers can choose where they want to get food. Where there are choices, service providers are compelled to maintain tourism standards at the same time keeping competition in check.”
The café can accommodate 140 people inside.
