Federal Airlines (Fedair) will offer direct flights from Johannesburg to Pafuri, Northern Kruger, from October 2, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
In partnership with The Outpost and Pel’s Post Lodges, direct flights will leave from the Fedair private lounge at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport (Ortia) and the Pafuri Airstrip.
Flights will depart Johannesburg at 12h30 and arrive at Pafuri at 14h00. The return flight departs Pafuri at 14h15 and arrives in Johannesburg at 15h45.
The schedule allows for connections with Fedair’s existing route network – namely the Lowveld and Madikwe shuttle flights via Johannesburg and also facilitates all inbound international arrivals, as well as morning flights from Cape Town.
Flights are open for bookings and can be made through The Outpost or Federal Airlines reservations offices.
Flight costs are R5 500 per person, per way on a return flight basis and R5 900 per person, per way on a one-way basis. Rates for children are applicable and receive a 25% discount on the headline fare.
“The flight service answers the trade’s requirement for a more direct routing from Johannesburg as opposed to from Hoesdspruit, as previously mentioned in the article on Tourism Update on August 7. Details and rates on the Hoedspruit base will follow in the coming weeks and operations are planned to commence in the first quarter of 2018,” says Nik Lloyd-Roberts, Commercial Manager of Federal Airlines.
