The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company has launched early-access tickets to cope with the annual increase in visitors over the festive period.
Visitors are then able to take the first cable car up at 07h30, before it opens to the general public.
The limited tickets are only available for purchase online and are valid between December 1 and January 15.
TMACC will also provide an entertainment and activity programme that will include entertainment by local DJ, Hilton Carlse, at the lower station, accompanied by the Siyabuya Marimba band.
As there is high demand for parking during peak season, visitors are encouraged to use public transport. This includes a free MyCiTi shuttle service that operates along Lower Tafelberg Road, between Kloof Nek and the lower cable station.
The WiFi lounge at the upper station provides free WiFi and visitors to Table Mountain can download free audio tours using their mobile phones.
Free 30-minute guided walking tours are available between 09h00 and 15h00 daily.
