New five-star houseboat, the Zimbabwean Dream, will launch in Lake Kariba in April.
GDI, manufacturer of the boat, said the 33.4m-long, 8.3m-wide boat had eight double en-suite cabins, accommodating a maximum of 16 guests and nine crew.
It will leave Harare for the 360km journey to Kariba on Sunday, February 23 and will be on the road for an estimated five days. “We are excited about the impact this vessel with have on international tourism in Zimbabwe. Any inconvenience caused to motorists during the road journey is sincerely regretted,” said GDI in a statement.
The sister vessel, African Dream, was launched in 2018.
