Tourism Update Editor, Adele Mackenzie, recently spent four days in Limpopo’s Waterberg region.
This included a night at the newly-refurbished Clifftop Exclusive Hideaway in the 36 000-hectare Welgevonden Game Reserve.
The Big Five reserve is about a 2.5 hour drive from Johannesburg (much closer than the more traditional safari region of Kruger National Park) and is home to over 50 different mammals – including kudu, giraffe, zebra, warthog, cheetah, brown hyena, and honey badgers – close to 300 bird species and a wonderful array of plant species.
This video – CLICK HERE to watch – beautifully captures some of the Welgevonden magic.
