An intimate new family friendly luxury camp has opened on an exclusive island in the southeastern Okavango Delta, bordering Moremi Game Reserve.
Operated by Okavango Hidden Gems, Amber River Camp has six luxury tents – each accommodating up to two adults and two children. The camp is set on an island in the permanent Sandididebe channel.
Each tent features a private deck with views of the surrounding floodplains as well as outdoor bathtubs and eco-friendly cooling systems.
The camp offers year-round activities including game drives, bush walks and mokoro (dugout canoe) trips providing guests with the opportunity to explore the diverse wildlife of the Okavango Delta. From lions, leopards and elephants to over 482 species of birds, the camp's strategic location ensures close-up encounters with the region’s abundant wildlife.
"We’re excited to introduce Amber River Camp as a new gem in the Okavango Delta," says Bruce Deneys, CEO of Okavango Hidden Gems. "Our aim is to offer guests an intimate, luxurious experience that connects them deeply with this extraordinary ecosystem."
