This expansion deepens our presence in Botswana, bringing our award-winning service to a second destination in the country. As we celebrate this new chapter in the socio-economic ties between Botswana and Ethiopia, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all involved.”
Botswana's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Tebelelo Alfred Boang, said Botswana and Ethiopia had cordial relations based on mutual respect and the spirit of Pan-Africanism and commended the collaborative effort behind the new flight, reports Ethiopian News Agency.
"With the collaboration that we have established with Ethiopian Airlines, Africa is becoming more integrated," Boang said.
He added that the flight was important for tourism as Maun was the gateway to the Okavango Delta, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Ethiopian has a vast intra-Africa network operating to more than 60 destinations in the continent.
