The board of the Tourism Business Council of SA will meet in December following an investigation into allegations against TBCSA CEO, Mmatšatši Ramawela.

Board Chairman Tito Mboweni told Tourism Update that in a letter, copied to all the board members, a former employee complained about the work environment and made allegations against the CEO. The board felt that it needed to test the veracity of the allegations. Attorneys were approached to investigate and a report was compiled.

Mboweni would not elaborate on the contents of the report, emphasising that it was not a public document. He said the board would meet to discuss the contents of the report and the recommended steps, after which he expected a resolution to be reached.
