Fastjet Zimbabwe has announced some interim changes to its schedule, due to concerns around the COVID-19 resurgence and the identification of new strains.
The imposition of extended curfews in both Zimbabwe and South Africa has affected travel planning, and the airline has temporarily adjusted its schedules to accommodate customers' journeys to and from airports and also to adapt to the expected trading environment and match current traveller demand. This means a temporary re-timing of flights (focusing on avoiding early morning and late evening operations), consolidating some flights with a later or earlier service, and a reduced frequency on some routes.
Trade support will continue via email as per the current arrangements.
The carrier has extended its Flexible Booking Change Policy (no change fees and no fare differences) until June 30, 2021. Furthermore, as it is receiving many requests to move bookings for passengers with COVID Positive PCR test results, these changes can be made at no additional fees and charges, even when requested within 48 hours before the original travel date (a copy of the test result must be submitted via email). All other terms of the Flexible Booking Change Policy remain unchanged with free changes and no fare differences to be collected for those passengers needing a booking change more than 48 hours before their original flight departure.
The airline advises passengers to always carry proof of travel (boarding pass, ticket and PCR Test results) when travelling to or from the airport, and to share a copy of their planned itinerary with those collecting or dropping them off at the airport.
