La Rive Franschhoek in the Western Cape has opened its villa up for individual bookings, where previously it was only available for sole use.

The decision was made to allow smaller groups/couples an opportunity to experience the property, said Alexis Gillis, Manager of La Rive.

“La Rive is an extremely unique property in Franschhoek, and allows guests the privacy of their own villa while enjoying full services,” says Gillis. “A guest says, ‘It is a place of complete relaxation. It’s how I imagined the house would have evolved if the family who built it had lived here forever.’ And whether you are sipping a hundred-year-old malt whisky on the verandah overlooking the gardens or ‘antiqueing’ in the town, you feel this sense of a place that has built over centuries.”
