Opinions are split over whether the Kruger National Park’s Numbi Gate should be closed following a spate of criminal incidents on the road leading to the entrance, including the fatal shooting of a German tourist at the start of October.
In our latest poll, 45% of respondents said the popular entry point should remain open, while 40% believe that the gate should be closed. 15% of respondents were undecided.

SARS online declaration – help or hindrance?
From November 1, SARS will be piloting a new, online customs declaration system at King Shaka International Airport in Durban. The system forms part of a broader South African Traveller Management System aimed to make customs procedures more efficient, and will be rolled out to all South African ports of entry in April 2023.
