Dream Hotels & Resorts, based in Johannesburg, has acquired Le Franschhoek, which is located in the Franschhoek Wine Valley.
Le Franschhoek, a four-star property, has joined the portfolio of properties including: Cape Town’s Peninsula All-Suite Hotel, Mjejane Bush Camp in Mpumalanga and The Blue Marlin on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast.
Le Franschhoek has 63 rooms and villas, a spa, two restaurants and conference and meeting facilities. A new menu will be introduced to the Dish Restaurant and outdoor Le Verger in July and the Swiss Farm-style High Tea will also be reintroduced.
“Bringing Le Franschhoek into the Dream Hotels & Resorts fold has been a long-time ambition of mine,” says portfolio Co-founder Weston Dickson. “Le Franschhoek’s acquisition will greatly enhance our diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts and we see it as one of our flagship properties, appealing to an already established international and local corporate and leisure market.”
