Latam will bring forward the launch of its daily flights between São Paulo and Johannesburg. The service was initially scheduled to start operating in April 2019, but will now commence in December, subject to confirmation.
Guido Joaquin Blanco, Latam Commercial Manager UK, Africa & Nordic Countries, shared this with the travel trade at the Latam Roadshow in Sandton on Thursday.
The airline currently operates the service five times a week.
Effective December, daily flights will depart Johannesburg at 10h50 and arrive in São Paulo at 17h30.
Return flights will depart São Paulo at 17h55 and arrive in Johannesburg at 08h50 the next day.
Blanco said the December flights should be loaded on to the GDS within the next few weeks.
