Terminals T1B and T1C at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have been closed for upgrades.
Kenya Airports Authority Corporate Communications Officer, Elijah Miano, told Tourism Update that the departure terminals would be expanded to accommodate a larger retail space and a new open-plan departure lounge.
Miano said the renovations would ensure a free flow of passengers, and would have new clear signage. The upgrades are expected to be completed by December 31.
Airlines that operated in the terminals have been moved to T1A and T2.
