The Onyx is set to open in Cape Town’s Foreshore area in the middle of next year.

Newmark Hotels will transform the Nedbank Heerengracht premises into an apartment-style hotel in conjunction with property developer, Signatura.

The hotel will be close to the V&A Waterfront and daily shuttles will be available between the Onyx and the various Newmark properties in the area – the Victoria and Alfred Hotel, Queen Victoria Hotel, Manor House and Dock House Boutique Hotel and Spa.

It will offer views of Table Mountain and have easy access to highways, with the N1 and N2 ensuring convenience to and from Cape Town International Airport. The hotel is close to the Artscape, a premier theatre, and the Cape Town International Convention Centre is directly opposite.
