A new safari camp, owned by luxury safari brand Angama, is launching in Kenya’s Mara Triangle.
Angama Safari Camp is open from early July until the end of September, with October bookings on request. It is in a relatively secluded area and is close to both the Mara River and the Great Rift Valley.
The Mara Triangle is one of the places where huge herds of zebra and wildebeest pass through from July to November during Africa’s famous Great Migration, as well as cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, leopards, lions and other game.
The four en-suite tents accommodate a total of eight people, including children of all ages. Rooms can either have two single beds or one double bed. Each room has an en-suite dressing room and a shower with double buckets.
Bookings must be made for a minimum of three nights. Guests enjoy guided safaris through the Mara Triangle during their stay, and hot-air balloon rides and in-tent massages are available on request at an additional charge.
Angama Mara lodge is an hour’s drive away and guests staying in the Safari Camp will have access to Angama Mara’s facilities: the photographic studio, fitness centre, beading studio, shop, swimming pool and Shamba lunch.
The camp is an hour’s flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Scheduled and chartered flights are available, co-ordinated by Angama.
