The Northern Cape Tourism Authority and SATSA will host two virtual familiarisation tours in the province on November 24 and 25.
Anyone wishing to participate can register to present their product free of charge. The Northern Cape was chosen based on key feedback from the 2019 Central Europe, UK and North American Roadshows conducted by South African Tourism and private-sector associations, indicating the need for new products, experiences and geographical spread.
NCTA and SATSA have partnered to host up to 75 buyers on a virtual tour of northern and southern regions of the Northern Cape. Through the events, selected tourism products will have the opportunity to virtually showcase their offerings.
The event on November 24 will include the northern region, from the Green Kalahari to the northern part of Namaqua, and will include products that fall into the Kalahari Red Dune, Quiver Tree Richtersveld and Go Ghaap routes.
On November 25, the southern region, from the Karoo to the southern part of Namaqua and Diamond Fields, will feature products that fall into the Karoo Oasis, Karoo Highlands and Namaqua coastal routes.
Registration closes on November 11 and products will be selected based on type and location. Products that apply must have good WiFi connection to facilitate the virtual tour and must be available for a dry-run on November 20.
