South African Tourism’s Italy office will organise a two-day South Africa convention in Italy from November 7-8, right after WTM London.
Imbizo 2015 will be the second edition of the convention following on from the success of Imbizo 2014, the office says. Objectives of the workshop include informing Italian travel agents about South Africa as the preferred tourism destination; exposing South African trade partners to the Italian travel agents; and creating networking opportunities between the various trade partners who participate in the workshop.
Members of the trade that are encouraged to participate as trade partners include South African provinces or tourism marketing organisations representing a province; South African inbound operators; South African accommodation products; South African transport companies (airlines, car rental, etc.); South African companies organising tourism activities in the country; and Italian tour operators selling South Africa to the Italian market.
Trade members who would like to participate should send their application to SA Tourism Italy by September 15. The contribution fee will guarantee a fully inclusive service for the entire duration of the workshop: accommodation, meals, transport, working station and facilities. A maximum of 15 trade partners will be allowed to participate. Applications will be accepted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
