The Hemingways Collection has reopened Ol Seki Mara camp in the Naboisho Conservancy bordering the Maasai Mara Reserve, following an extensive upgrade and refurbishment. Accommodation includes four new upgraded Nina double tents and four original Nina (double) tents and the original Simba family suite.
To date, the Simba family suite, four Nina double tents as well as the dining and lounge area overlooking the pool and Koiyaki plains have been upgraded.
The new Nina tents have floor-to-ceiling folding glass frontages, with higher ceilings to give the best possible views over the Mara, new bathrooms with free-standing bath tubs and indoor and outdoor showers and re-configured layouts for privacy.
The dining room and lounge area have been completely redesigned to create a larger open-plan space, including a new bar and sunken seating space.
The Simba family suite is being upgraded and construction is ongoing at a new location. The new Simba will have the same look and feel as the new Nina tents with the addition of a private plunge pool.
The four original Nina tents will be upgraded in the first quarter of next year and will be removed from inventory for reservations during that period. The rest of camp will remain open and available for guests, with the new upgraded Simba family suite to be opened soon.
